THE STORY MENTOR

You’re invited to partake in this new monthly writing group that will help you improve your story and writing skills through ongoing professional support, encouragement to keep writing, and feedback from those undertaking a similar writing journey to yours.

At each session, three members will receive a professional manuscript assessment on up to 5,000-words of their work-in-progress from award-winning author, A. R. Levett, whose work with emerging WA writers has led to publications. Each person will give and receive feedback from this cultivated group of committed writers, with up to 30-minutes spent discussing each submission.

Your manuscript assessment includes in-text mark-ups and a report that details what works and what needs work, with helpful suggestions. Manuscripts must be submitted one month prior to each session.

Group feedback will focus on the story and its structure, not editing. Guidelines will be provided to create a supportive and nurturing environment.

Come to the first session to see if you want to join what will become a closed group once we have nine regular members.
